Covers of Todd's Material
A young successful band known as The Mummers have recently released a 6 track EP known as "Mink Hollow Road". The Single track is "Fade Away" by our very own Todd so this does smack of some Todd influence. It is getting quite a bit of air play on the BBC national radio stations. Their web site is http://www.themummers.co.uk/.

I got the new Paul Gilbert CD, "Fuzz Universe" and there is a guitar instrumental version of Todd's "Blue Orpheus" from A Capella on there as song #5. It's pretty cool. You can buy the album from iTunes or from Amazon.com
Tom Dunlop writes:
I noticed the cover version section is missing a few things. Terry Hall does "I Saw the Light" on 'Laugh" from 1997. I think it may have been a single too, or at least it was a track on a single. Alison Krauss did "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference" on "Forget About It".
Phil Little writes:
Kim Wilde does a very good version of Todd's song, "Lucky Guy" (from the "Hermit Of Mink Hollow" album) on her album, "Close". IMHO, she really makes the song sound like it should sound.
Carol D'Amico writes:
Joe Jackson did a cover of 'Couldn't I Just Tell You' on his latest cd 'Volume 4' as an import only. It's an incredible version, I must say! It really rocks
Bob Michael writes:
Mandy Moore has a cover of Can We Still Be Friends on her new CD Coverage (which is all covers).
John Branning wrotes:
I just saw an ad on IFC for a new movie called "Camp", which features a cover of "The Want Of A Nail" on the soundtrack, and also uses that track in the ad.

Re;Re-Rundgrenized, I know you'll be hearing of other covers or the same ones over and over but here's my two cents
Exile's first album on Wooden Nickel in 73 had two! Todd covers, "Devil's Bite" and J.O.V. Producer was Bill Traut which may have had something to do with it!!!! All the best - Don in Vancouver
Todd Rundgren's Hot Toddies - Re-Rundgrens is a thorough list of
Todd's remakes and covers, songs done by him originally by other artists and tunes other artists have done of his. Happy GROKing!
Vonda Shepard covers "Can We Still Be Friends" on "Ally McBeal: For Once In My Life" out on Epic in 2001.
