"Bleeding" From "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" Tabbed by Brian Canfield Ugh, my guitar skills really aren't good enough for this one. But I want to try to tab out this whole album. So here's my attempt at a sort of solo arrangement. The original has probably 2 or 3 guitars in it, so it's quite impossible (at least for me) to figure out everything that's going on. At the very least, this is better than nothing. Intro: E---------0--------0------------2----------------------------------- B---------0--------2------------0----------------------------------- G---------1--------2------------4----------------------------------- D---------2--------2------------4----------------------------------- A----2h4------------------------------------------------------------ E------------------------------------------------------------------- ^you can add that little riff before each chord..it's in the song, but it sounds choppy and sloppy when I try to incorporate it. But those chords are basically E A B But if you listen closely, the B in particular has kind of an open, ringy sound..they're definetly not straight barre chords. Then, there's an ascending series of chords which are roughly: E A/F# G E/G# D/A A I just do this: E---0------0-----0-----0--------0---------0---------------------------- B---0------2-----3-----5--------7---------5---------------------------- G---1------2-----4-----4--------7---------6---------------------------- D---2------2-----5-----6--------7---------7---------------------------- A-------------------------------0---------0---------------------------- E---------------------------------------------------------------------- E A G E D/A A It doesn't incorporate those bass notes, but it sounds okay. Then, the verse: E-------------------------0-------0-------------------------------- B---------------2---------3-------2--------------------------------- G---------------2---------0-------2--------------------------------- D----5-4-5------2---------4-------2------------------------------------ A----5-4-5------0---------x-------0------------------------------------ E----3s2s3----------------3-------------------------------------------- ^quickly A G? A "Don't be sad now get up and start again.. The chords here are basically G and A..although the G sounds funky, so I tried to get as close as possible to what I hear. And that riff in between is something like this: E---------------------------------------------------------------- B---------------------------------------------------------------- G---------------------------------------------------------------- D----------2----5---4---2-------------------------------------------- A---0---4-------------------0--------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------------------------------- Solo: NO WAY. But I can tell you, I believe it uses the A-minor pentatonic scale, primarily..and he's playing it around the 12 fret. But there's no way I could tab that, as my lead skills are pretty bad. Sorry, I know this tab is a bit sub-standard, but that's as good as I can do for now. Like I said, it's better than nothing. Don't expect "Parole" to be much better. ;) Questions/Comments: dontpoll@aol.com
